Tips for my first apartment and moving?

I'm considering moving from Arizona to Colorado after I graduate high school, most likely around when I turn 19. I've never lived on my own before. Does anyone have any tips or useful information? What should I look for? What should I buy for the apartment? Things like that? Any information would be appreciated.
