Am I gonna die from carbon MONOXIDE POISONING?

4 days ago I was making tea , I went out of the kitchen for a little while, while leaving i noticed that the tea had boiled over the flame, not thinking too much of it i went to get cups. After I came back i WENT CLOSE TO THE STOVE AND CUD HEAR THE GAS BUT SEE NO FLAME, I stood in front of the gas for about a minute until i figured out the flame was put out by the tea that boiled over... but even after the flame was put out the gas was still on, and i was standing in front of the stove for at least a minute if not more until i realized what had happened- did the tea putting out the flame and the gas still coming out create carbon monoxide which cud kill me? am i gonna die from carbon monoxide poisoning?
